1 – The Airsilk™ topper features several luxurious comfort layers, crowned by the Mulberry Silk top layer. This sustainable super-fibre offers softness, strength, and breathability, helping regulate temperature throughout the night. The hand-tufted surface creates a pillowy look and feel, while also enhancing longevity by keeping all the underlying layers securely in place.
2 – A 2.5cm layer of pocketed nano coil springs adds responsive plushness without the sinking feeling. These innovative coils adapt to your movements, providing tailored support for optimal comfort. Not only do they enhance comfort, but the nano coils also improve the mattresses longevity, ensuring it maintains its shape and support over time for long-lasting performance.
5 – The perimeter of an O+L mattress is reinforced with a medium-density foam structure, preventing roll-off and eliminating any discomfort from springs at the edges. This design maximises the usable surface area, ensuring more of the mattress is available for sleeping or other activities.

Springs, not spring counts are special to us. At the core of Airsilk™ is a unique patent-pending variable-tension spring, individually encased in a fabric pocket.
Each spring is designed to depress similarly across a range of weights, meaning a lighter person is supported like a heavier one.
Airsilk™ incorporates a 2.5cm nano-coil layer nearer the surface. These even out the pressure and add luxurious softness. It’s true that each Airsilk™ mattress has thousands of springs (about 3000 in an Emperor) but it’s the quality, not the quantity, that really matters.
Luxury Firm 8/10
The Owl +Lark Mattress is best described as Luxury Firm, but the feel is so much more than that.
It’s soft, but also supportive and cradling.
It can suit a wide range of body-types and sleeping styles – side, back and front. Overall, Airsilk is a touch firmer than our Original.
How does the Owl + Lark Mattress feel? Like a perfect fitting shoe, a mattress should feel incredibly soft and snug, but must hold your body correctly.
The Owl +Lark Mattress is best described as Medium Plush, but the feel is so much more than that. It’s soft, but also supportive and cradling. Because of its depth, it can suit a wide range of body-types and sleeping styles – side, back, front and partner-disturbing sleep-invader style.
Over time, the Mattress will mould slightly to the sleeper, making it fit even better. We know that one mattress can’t be perfect for everyone, and that the experience of softness is subjective. We suggest trying it for at least 30 days to see how well it works for you.
We offer a free 101 night trial. If by the end you haven’t transformed your sleep for the better, we’ll gladly take it back for free.
The combined recommended weight limit for Airsilk™ is 300kg. It is safe to use the mattress with greater weight, although excess dipping would in this case not be covered by warranty.
Because an Owl + Lark mattress has more supporting and comfort layers it’s substantially deeper than a normal mattress – around 30 cm.

Finding the right mattress is really important, you spend more than a third of your life in bed. Research and studies demonstrate that testing mattresses in a shop isn’t the best way to find the right one.
It takes your body 4-6 weeks to adjust to a new mattress, which means that lying and bouncing on a mattress in a shop doesn’t allow you to determine the best mattress for your long-term comfort and support. It can also take time to get used to the feel of a new mattress.

Most bed in box mattresses are compressed under thousands of kilograms of force and then folded into a tight box.
The act of folding creates huge amounts of pressure and wear at the crease points, leading to foam failure and dipping, often after a coupe of years.
O+L mattresses on the other hand are rolled into a cylinder, and are allowed to occupy more volume, leading to consistently even sleep surface and leaving foams in great shape.
